Getting Started with HotPrompt
Welcome to HotPrompt
HotPrompt is a powerful tool that allows you to create custom keyboard shortcuts (hotkeys) for frequently used text prompts. This guide will help you get started with the basic features.
Installation
- Download HotPrompt from the App Store or our website
- Open the installer and follow the on-screen instructions
- Launch HotPrompt from your Applications folder
- Grant the necessary permissions when prompted
First Steps
- Create your first hotkey: Click the "Create New Hotkey" button on the dashboard
- Set up a keyboard shortcut: Choose a unique key combination that doesn't conflict with system shortcuts
- Write your prompt template: Enter the text you want to insert when using the hotkey
- Save your hotkey: Click "Save" to activate your new hotkey
- Test it out: Use your keyboard shortcut in any application to insert your prompt
